Week 8: Eyemouth, Dunbar, St Andrews, Arbroath, Stonehaven, Aberdeen and Peterhead

Saturday 20th June – Eyemouth to Dunbar

Welcomed into Eyemouth by the RNLI, and thanks to Jonny Johnson two of us stayed in a converted fishing boat, whilst the other two stayed with Den and Anne (Hannah’s uncle and aunt).

Sunday 21st June – Dunbar to St Andrews

Thanks to everyone at Dunbar, including the yacht club, the RNLI crew, Kenny and Pam for putting us up and being great hosts and the rowers who plied us with pints of beer, to Andy for the wee dram of single malt and to Duncan for letting us raft up alongside.

Monday 22nd June – stayed in St Andrews

A day on the golf course…

Tuesday 23rd June – St Andrews to Arbroath

Wednesday 24th June – Arbroath to Stonehaven

Massive, massive, thank you to Helen for looking after us in Stonehaven and to her friend Alison for organising everything. Helen very kindly put us up for the night in her home, cooked us an amazing dinner and cooked breakfast. Thank you Helen, you’re an Angel!

Thursday 25th June – Stonehaven to Aberdeen

Picked up some fresh fish from some local fishermen, which we then cooked and ate back at Gordon Barracks.

Friday 26th June – Aberdeen to Peterhead

Thanks to Peterhead sailing club.
